21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
-Colossians 1:21-22 (NLT)
Did you ever stop and think about your life before Christ. More specifically, have you ever thought about the fact that at one time we were enemies of God. Our minds were enemies of God. Think About that for a minute.
Paul was teaching the church at Colosse that at one time, they were enemies of God. In the King James version, it reads that we were "alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works." I think that phrase, "in your mind" is key to understanding. Your mind is what controls you. It controls your thinking, it controls your speech, it controls your actions, it controls all things. If your mind is not set on God, then your mind is set on sin. Your mind has to be changed. If your mind can keep you from God, then your mind can take you to Him as well. What is your mind focused on today? Is it God? Or is it sin? Think About It.
