All Things

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
-Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

If I had to choose just one verse of Scripture to say is my favorite, Philippians 4:13 is the one. A friend and I were talking the other day about work, and I told him to remember this verse when he seems overwhelmed with the tasks at hand. This verse is one that I rely on when I get overwhelmed.

It's not just for work things, though. We've been talking a lot, recently, about the way we should live our lives. When satan throws stumbling blocks in our path, we can overcome them, through Christ. When the doctor gives an unfavorable health report, we can overcome it, through Christ. No matter what life throws at you, you can stand up to it, through Christ. Paul says we can do "all things". It means just that. We can "all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
