Go!

14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. 15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. 16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do. 17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. 18 Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.
-John 17:14-18 (NLT)

Well, we spent the whole week studying these four verses of Scripture. But, perhaps the most intriguing verse is 18.

"Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.

Jesus is sending us into the very world that hates us, the very world we don't belong to. Why? Matthew 28:19-20 says, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”" Again, in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We are called to be His witnesses, to go and make disciples everywhere. We are called to teach others the commands of Jesus, and to obey them. If, at that moment of salvation we were taken out of this world, who would be left to accomplish this task?

Friends, as we go through this day, ask yourself this: Am I being His witness to others today? Think About It.
