Rescued

For you have rescued me from death;
    you have kept my feet from slipping.
So now I can walk in your presence, O God,
    in your life-giving light.
-Psalm 56:13 (NLT)

We talked yesterday about having no fear in God. Verse 13 reveals more reasons why we should not fear other people.

Verse 13 says, "For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life giving light." For the Christian, God has rescued you from death. Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." The payment for our life of sin is death. But, because of Jesus, we can be rescued from the death penalty! Because of that rescue, we can walk in the presence of God. We can walk with God. We can come and bring our prayers, our problems, our fears to Him. Have you accepted that rescue? Are you walking in the light of His love for you? Think About It.
