Principles To Live By: Intro

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
-Galatians 2:20 (King James Version)

Paul is giving us some important principles to live by in this verse. It's principles that many overlook, yet it's principles we need to adhere to if we are going to live like Jesus expects. Many churches, many pastors, many teachers have watered down the Gospel and watered down the Word of God in the name of being "seeker sensitive." It's not "politically correct" to offend someone. I saw a picture on Facebook the other day that said, "Honesty is considered by many to be a virtue worth having. But no one wants to hear the truth." That statement is so true. We claim to want people to be honest with us, but when it's something we don't want to hear, we try and tune it out.

Paul said, in Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." For this week, we are going to study the important principles that Paul writes about, and why they are important if we are going to live the life that Jesus paid for. If you don't want to hear the truth, or if the truth offends you, you may not want to read this week's posts.

For now, though, think on this, and reply with an answer if you'd like. What does it mean to be crucified with Christ? We'll look at Scripture that talks about that tomorrow. Think About It.
