18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
-First Corinthians 4:18-20 (NIV)
You can talk about your faith, but do you live that faith? In First Corinthians 4:18-20 we read, " 18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.: What a statement! Can you feel Jesus saying those very same words to you? People have been scoffing at Christians, laughing at us when we say, "Repent! Jesus is coming!" It has been nearly 2000 years since Jesus returned to Heaven. People are complacent. They don't feel that Jesus is returning, but we know He is! Paul teaches that "the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power." It is not enough to merely talk about your faith, you must live it. You can see the existence of Jesus through the Word of God. You can also see the existence of Jesus through each and every child of God when we use the Word of God to speak to people about the saving grace of God. His existence is seen when people open up and accept the sacrifice of Jesus. It is seen when someone sees the answer to their prayers. But, these examples are only attained when we put our faith into action. When you no longer talk your faith, but walk your faith. Are you living your faith today? Think About It.
