For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-Romans 8:38-39 (King James Version)
God loves you. God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die for your sins. We read that in John 3:16. Yet, so many of us feel that we must earn the love of God. Remember this, it's not you that God dislikes, it is your sin.
In Romans 8, Paul is writing about being made right (justified) before God. After writing about all that God did for us, he gets down to verses 38-39 where he talks about what can separate us from the love of God. If you read these verses, you'll see that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
I remember years ago when I led our churches mid week kids program, we did a night about the love of God. I would ask "What can separate us from the love of God?" And the children would shout back, "Nothing! Nothing! Absolutely nothing!"
Do you feel unloved today? You don't need to. If you've given your life to Him, then you're loved by God. You see, that is a fact that many overlook. The love of God is through Jesus Christ. The end of verse 39 says, "which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Even when we are in sin, God loves us. But, we will not find the whole love of God when we are deep in sin. God's love for us is made known in Jesus. Have you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior? Think About It.
