Through Jesus

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
-Philippians 4:13 (King James Version)

A Facebook friend shared the other day about trials. Wanting to encourage her, I posted Philippians 4:13 as a comment to her post. This is my absolute favorite verse in the Bible. It's so short, but it's so full of encouragement.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Paul had been writing about contentment, about how he learned to be content with what he had, whether he had little or had much. Then, he ends the section with "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." This verse teaches me that I can do all things through Jesus. All things. I can do the things God has called me to do, through Christ. Jesus gives you the strength to do what you've been called to do. Many of you know how much I fear public speaking. Isn't it kind of funny that God had called me to preach His Word? Yet, through Jesus, I can preach His Word.

What has God called you to do? Do you feel inadequate to meet the calling? Take these words of Paul and apply them to your life. You can do what God has called you to do, but only through Jesus. Think About It.
