Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
-Job 38:1 (KJV)
Do we ever really listen for God? Do we ever really listen for God to answer our prayers. If you're like me, you have a sense of what is the right answer for your prayer, and you pray and then do what you've already concluded to do. I think we, many times, miss the answer God has for us.
No doubt, many of us will never face the trials that Job faced. Look at Job 38:1. I want to spend a few days looking at Job 38, because there is some great things in there. For today, I want us to focus just on verse 1. "Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said," Job was seeking answers trying to explain the ways of God. Look how God answered him. God answered Job "out of the whirlwind". Do you or I take time to listen for the voice of God while the whirlwind of trials and troubles is going on? We prefer to listen for God while things are calm. Yet, many times, we fail to see Him, or hear Him, while the trials of life are raging.
What trials are raging in your life this day? Are you listening for, and looking for the work of God in those trials? God just may be speaking to you "out of the whirlwind." Think About It.
