He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
-Second Corinthians 1:4 (New Living Translation)
Did you ever wonder why regular church attendance is so vital to our Christian faith. There are many reasons as to why, but I really think this verse from Second Corinthians ranks high on the list.
Paul writes, "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us." In our world today, troubles can arise in the matter of mere moments. You can be going along without a care in the world, then all of a sudden that world can be falling apart. What happens? A Christian brother or sister comes to give us comfort. I remember the mor, ning my mother went to be with Jesus. My Pastor and his wife, and our Assistant Pastor and his wife were among the first at the house. They modeled this verse.
Paul says, "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others." God is right there, even in the most trying of circumstances to comfort us. We, then, need to comfort others with the same type of comfort that God gives to us. Are you being a blessing to someone today? Think About It.
