Grounded

 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
-Colossians 1:22-23 (King James Version)

Have you ever really thought about the love that God has for you? I mean really thought about it? Verse 22 of Colossians 1 says, "In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:" Out of His great love for you, He provided Jesus to die for your sins so that you can be holy, faultless and blameless in the sight of God. I don't know about you, but I like the sound of me being faultless, blameless and holy in the sight of God. That is something that I can never be aside from the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection from the grave.

But there is more. Verse 23 says, "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;" This verse points to a changed life. Through the death of Jesus on the cross, those who put their faith in Him, make Jesus their Savior and Lord, are holy, blameless and faultless in the sight of God. But, we must continue in the faith, we must not stray from the Gospel, that is where our hope is. If we continue in sin, that proves we are not grounded and settled in the faith we claim to have.

If you've given your life to Jesus, then you've heard the Gospel, you've responded to it, and now you must be settled and grounded in that faith. Anything else will not cut it. Are you grounded in your faith today? Think About It.
